I graduated from Jefferson
High School in 1988, and have spent over 12 years in communications (mostly
radio) in several places including Lafayette, In. (WKHY; WKJM-Power 95 &
WAZY-Z96), Indianapolis (WZPL), Ft Collins, Colorado (KIMN), Panama City, FL
(WILN, WTBB, WRBA, WPFN, WAKT, WYOO), Asheville, NC (WZLS) and others. From
95-1999 I was the VP of Programming/ Operations for Styles Broadcasting overseeing
8 stations in Panama City, Florida, Mandeville and New Orleans, Louisiana and
Asheville, NC. From 99-2000 I was Operations Director for Nextmedia in Panama
City. In Oct 2000 I formed my own advertising agency and have been very blessed
with a great group of clients. In February 1999, I married the love of my life,
Jeanne. We live in Panama City Beach, Florida. We don't have any kids (except
for our Golden Retriever). Since 1995, I have been operating my own Audio Production
Company -(CJ Ryan Productions) currently with 47 clients throughout the USA
and around the world. I do radio commercials for many types of businesses including
nightclubs and bars, auto dealerships, as well as VO work for many Information
TV stations around the Southeast. I owe the Radio & Television department
at Jeff and especially Mr. Brist. He gave me the opportunity to pursue my dream
in broadcasting even though my grades weren't high enough to automatically go
into Advanced R&TV, so I auditioned by reading some news off the AP wire
(old school radio reference) and I was so nervous that I had to stop in the
middle and ask if it was NASA, or N-A-S-A..... I will never forget that and
I will always have a soft spot in my heart for WJEF!
