Audio Equipment at JEFF 92
...
Here is our Audio Arts on-air board. Inputs include 3 microphones, 2 mini-disc players, 3 CD players, 1 automation computer, 1 phone line, a hard-wired sports line from the gym, and an input from the production room. The mini-disc and CD players utilize the red remote start buttons. The other picture shows our recently rearranged control room with the automation computer moved to the right side (from the left) of the board, and an additional desk added for our other music database computer. |

This photo shows our on-air automation monitor and keyboard, the 2 mini-disc players, and the 3 Denon CD players we use. Our automation software is Digital
Jukebox , a program that has worked nearly
flawlessly, keeping the station running on overnights, vacations, and
during the summer. We can also use the system in "DJ Assist" mode
to pull up music or liners, etc.. and play as needed. |

Here is our CD storage tower. We currently have over 220
CDs representing over 2,400 songs that are in regular rotation. The CD players
we use (Denon) require the CDs to be in cartridge cases which makes it easy to
grab and go- without having to worry about getting fingerprints or dirt on the
CDs. |

This rack in the control room holds the remote controls
for our transmitter (located in another part of the building), two amplifiers
for the control room and studio speakers, two tuners- one for feeding our on-air
signal to the speaker amps, and another for feeding a signal to speakers located
in the hallway outside of the control room. The rack also holds the SAGE EAS
unit and a Gentner unit for processing phone calls over the air. |

Audio production includes an Autogram board, a turntable
(just to right of board hidden by LCD monitor), a Sony MD player/recorder, a Denon cartridge CD player, a Pentium 4 computer (far left of photo) used for digital recording and editing. The computer monitor on the right-hand
side of the photo is for our automation production computer. |
