I was the news director at the radio station during the '87-'88 school year. WJEF was something I truly enjoyed and it made high school bearable (barely). In particular, I remember the fun we had selecting news stories and our attempts to read difficult names on the air. I also appreciated Mr. Brist's leadership. It was a fun and relaxing atmosphere.
As for myself, my career path has been as an academic librarian. I've been the Social Sciences Librarian at Illinois State University and am starting a new job in the same position at Swarthmore College, near Philadelphia. I'm married to Bernadette McIntosh-Estep. We have no children but two cats. Even though I didn't go into radio I have used my radio skills whenever I teach classes.
