Karen Harshman Griffith..
My name is Karen (Harshman)
Griffith and I graduated from Jeff in 1985. I have many fond memories of
working at WJEF-FM and even though I
did not pursue broadcasting as a career, I definitly enjoyed it as a great
learning experience as well as a lot of fun. After I graduated from Jeff I
attended DePauw University and double majored in Nursing and Biological Sciences.
I went on to work in the operating rooms at
Community Hospital North in Indianapolis, then eventually came back home to work
at St. Elizabeth's operating room helping to coordinate the total joint team.
My years working in the operating room have been an incredible experience in
how the human spirit prevails in the face of adversity. That part of my life
has been second to only having a family of my own and raising two wonderful children
and a husband. (LOL) I currently work in a plastic surgeon's office surgery suite
where I truly feel I have found my niche. Not only do I assist in helping
people realize their dreams
concerning their bodies, but I help people restore and reconstruct what once
was. And yes, we do listen to WJEF-FM in our operating room! I would delight
